In September 2024, a memorial scholarship in Rick and Ron's name was established at the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The Shaw Brothers, Rick and Ron, were iconic figures in the music industry and the cultural landscape of New England. From their early days at the University of New Hampshire, the twins rose to international fame, captivating audiences with their folk-inspired sound. Known as “New Hampshire's musical ambassadors to the world,"

Rick and Ron stayed deeply connected to their roots, bringing their love for New England to the world stage. In their honor, the newly established Shaw Brothers Memorial Scholarship Fund will support aspiring musicians, singer-songwriters, and visual artists at Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC) and preserve their legacy within the Seacoast community.
